About IronAgeWisdom
Built by two people who discovered health in their late 40s, trained through their 50s, and completed two Ironman triathlons together — from the islands of Hawaii.
Meet Jay & Michelle
Jay and Michelle live and work in Hawaii — and they train there too, on the same roads, trails, and open-water swims that have become the backdrop of their health journey. They are not professional athletes. They are not lifelong runners. They are two people in their 50s who decided to take their health seriously and discovered what the human body is capable of when given the right inputs.
It started with a Whole 30 challenge at their local CrossFit gym in January 2019. That 30-day experiment — cutting processed foods, seed oils, sugar, and grains — changed everything. The energy, the clarity, the body composition changes, the performance gains. They were hooked.
What followed was a deep dive into the science of human optimization: the work of Gary Brecka, Dr. Eric Berg, Dr. Paul Saladino, Dr. Mercola, Dr. Mark Hyman, Thomas DeLauer, and Dr. Rhonda Patrick. IronAgeWisdom is the synthesis of everything they've learned — and lived.

The Journey, Step by Step
From a CrossFit Whole 30 challenge to two Ironman finish lines — this is how it happened.
The Whole 30 That Changed Everything
Jay and Michelle accepted a Whole 30 challenge at their local CrossFit gym in Hawaii. What started as a 30-day experiment became the beginning of a complete lifestyle transformation.
First Half Marathon
Jay completed his first half marathon — proof that the foundation being built through nutrition and training was working. Michelle was right there with him.
First Full Marathon
The Honolulu Marathon. 26.2 miles. Jay and Michelle crossed the finish line together — a milestone that most people never attempt, let alone achieve in their 50s.
Ironman #1 — 140.6 Miles
Jay and Michelle completed their first full Ironman triathlon together: a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike, and a full marathon. Back-to-back. In the same year.
Ironman #2 — The Encore
Because apparently one wasn't enough. Jay and Michelle completed their second full Ironman, cementing what this lifestyle — and this partnership — is capable of.
Racing Through Midlife
Jay and Michelle launched their YouTube channel to journal their progress, share what they've learned, and inspire others to discover what's possible in midlife and beyond.

Why IronAgeWisdom Exists
The modern healthcare system is extraordinarily good at treating acute illness. It is extraordinarily poor at preventing chronic disease. The result is a population that is simultaneously over-medicated and under-nourished, exhausted but unable to sleep, and aging faster than any previous generation in human history.
The information to reverse this exists. It is being taught — loudly and clearly — by a handful of extraordinary educators who have dedicated their careers to understanding how the human body actually works. The problem is not a lack of knowledge. It is a lack of synthesis and accessibility.
IronAgeWisdom was built to solve that problem — to bring together the best of what these experts teach, filter it through real-world application, and present it in a way that anyone can act on. No products. No sales. Just education.

Racing Through Midlife
@racingthroughmidlife on YouTube
A few years ago, Jay and Michelle started a YouTube channel to document their journey — the races, the training weeks, the setbacks, the breakthroughs, and the beautiful backdrop of Hawaii that makes every workout feel like a gift. The channel is a raw, honest journal of what it looks like to pursue athletic and health goals in midlife.
From the Honolulu Marathon to the Ironman Texas finish line, from Zone 2 training rides around Oahu to open-water swims at Waikiki, the channel captures the real experience of this lifestyle — not the highlight reel, but the whole story.
